More on Choir of Souls

It is a common experience. We wake up and a lot of time has passed as if we were on autopilot or we try to wake up, but it is hard. We sometimes lose connection with ourselves along the way.

Our society is accelerating. Our time is going faster and faster. We need peace to be ourselves and we need to help ourselves and others just to be. It happens to most of us that we get out of touch with ourselves from time to time. Now is a good time to reconnect with yourself.

The intention of Choir of Souls is to create a safe framework and space to be ourselves. Look at ourselves and each other and accept whatever we are. With our shortcomings, our ambitions, and our energy.

The acceptance of our self and others is fundamental for being able to have peace of mind and it is fundamental in being able to create psychological safety in groups. It could be your family, your workplace, or other communities you are part of.

Our aim is that working together to create space for each other is the norm.

This will not happen on its own. It is a competence we can learn. You are welcome to train here

Behind Choir of Souls

For many years, I have focused on helping leaders lead, coach them, create change, and organizational development with them. I will continue to do so.

But is so often happens in life that we forget just being. Being present, being good enough, being ourselves and being helpful.

As a person we need this basic self-security and connection to be our best selves. That security is something we create for each other. In that basic sense we are co-created. There is a need to train this. It is a competence we can learn.

I want to make room for that. Therefore, I have created the Choir of Souls and refined the Soul Circles. We have tested the set up and I love the space we create.

In Choir of Souls, a lot of inspirations and lines of development merge for me.

  • Jungian Individuation
  • Lave and Wenger’s Community of Practice
  • Crowley’s concept of Thelema
  • Rosa’s concept of Acceleration
  • Harrison Owen’s Open Space
  • Claus Raasted’s thoughts on Experience Design and the College of Extraordinary Experience

It came together when I read A Hidden Wholeness by Parker Palmer. Here I found the inspiration for a less hierarchical kind of space. It suits these times where we are self-directing and looking for answers ourselves.
